A luxurious property in Wollongong's sought-after northern suburbs has hit the market, with the potential to set a new sale price record if its guide is achieved.

The home, located at 19 Denmark Street, Wombarra is due to be auctioned on November 29, and has a price guide of $7.5 million.

According to Cotality records, the current sale price record holder for Wombarra is 553a Lawrence Hargrave Drive, Wombarra, which sold for $6.31 million in 2021.

Set on a 1.6-acre estate, the five-bedroom home at 19 Denmark Street is surrounded by landscaped gardens, natural bushland and features panoramic coastal views.

"This home is the perfect blend of luxury and liveability," selling agent, Highland Property's Mitchell Wynn said.

"Whether you're entertaining guests or enjoying a quiet weekend with family, it offers versatility, privacy, and a connection to nature that's incredibly rare.

"Our client has loved hosting many family and friends' celebrations in the garden, playing bocce and badminton games, while relishing in the privacy that the property allows."

The home features resort-style amenities.

Internal black Japan-stained timber flooring and Carrara marble joinery adds style, while the external stonework feature walls create a designer edge.

The master retreat contains two oversized walk-in robes, a luxurious ensuite with freestanding bath and hand-crafted English tapware, and a private balcony with ocean vistas.

There's also a private guest retreat for overnight stays and an office with its own entrance.

Mr Wynn said Wombarra is "one of those places people fall in love with quietly".

"It's not just about the views, it's the feeling you get when you're here, there's a sense of calm and space that's hard to replicate," he said.

"Buyers who discover Wombarra often say it feels like a secret coastal haven, one they're lucky to have found."

The suburb has made other headlines in recent years.

Last year, the decision not to take a lower offer at auction seemingly paid off for the owner of a beachfront Wombarra home, with a $6 million-plus sale later ensuing.

The home at 16 Haig Street, Wombarra sold for $6.2 million.

Also, it was recently revealed that it was all systems go for Deborah Hutton and her beach house project.

In 2021, Hutton bought an oceanfront Wombarra home for $5.6 million.

In a previous video post on Instagram, Hutton said the knockdown-rebuild project "will be a two-year build of a fab new beach house".

Cotality records also show there have been sales of $5.45 million and $5 million in the suburb during recent years.
